1. This site is run by Nick Dautlich, a UK-based photographer and blogger. This page explains how this site handles your data and discloses the commercial relationships behind some of its content.
Data controller: Nick Dautlich — contact via the contact page.
This site does not use any tracking scripts, analytics tools, or cookies.
If you contact Nick via the contact form, your name, email address, and message will be processed and forwarded by Adobe Portfolio and delivered to Nick's email inbox. Adobe acts as a data processor for this purpose — their privacy policy can be found at adobe.com/uk/privacy. No form data is stored by this website itself.
How we use your data: This information is used solely to respond to your enquiry and is not shared with any third party or used for marketing purposes.
Data retention: Messages and associated personal data are deleted within approximately 30 days of the enquiry being resolved.
Your rights: Under UK data protection law, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data you have submitted, and the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). To make a request, please use the contact page.
2. Affiliate links
Some pages on this site, particularly gear reviews may contain affiliate links. This means that if you click a link and go on to make a purchase, Nick may receive a small commission from the retailer. This comes at no extra cost to you.
Affiliate links are clearly identified at the top of any page that contains them. The presence of an affiliate link does not influence the content or conclusions of a review. All opinions are Nick's own, formed through genuine personal use of the products reviewed.
This disclosure is made in accordance with the UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) CAP Code and the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) guidance on consumer protection and commercial transparency.
3. Third-party websites
Clicking an affiliate link will take you to a third-party website, such as the Wotancraft online store. Those websites are entirely independent of this site and have their own privacy policies and cookie practices, which Nick has no control over.
Any commission tracking (such as referral cookies) is handled entirely by the third-party merchant on their own domain. Those sites operate their own cookie and privacy practices, which are entirely outside Nick's control.
4. Products reviewed
Products reviewed on this site are either personally purchased by Nick or, in some cases, borrowed directly from the brand on a long-term loan basis. Where a product has been loaned, this is clearly stated within the review itself. No payment has been received from any brand in exchange for coverage. No brand has had any editorial control over the content published here and all opinions are Nick's own.
5. Amendments
This policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page, and the "last updated" date at the top will be revised accordingly.
6. Contact
If you have any questions about this policy, you can get in touch via the contact page.
